The Association was formed in March 2007 and we are going from strength to strength. The association’s objectives are:
To relieve the needs of veterans of the armed services in North-
a) Bringing together veterans in a spirit of comradeship.
b) Working in partnership with other organisations to further this aim.
We aim to develop a network of comrades to help relieve the social isolation experienced by disabled veterans. The focus of our (fortnightly) meetings is to share a brew enjoy some friendly banter and make new friends. Our members want to develop a range of social activities e.g. fishing, digital photography, and computing skills. We currently have over 40 members and we are working together to reach out to as many comrades as we can.
